Victory! Now what?
Tipping the balance toward thinking and freedom
On Tuesday, November 2, Virginia tipped the balance of America toward freedom.
The movement, spearheaded by parents standing up and shouting “Enough!”, derailed “stupid wokeness”, of which vaccine mandates and passports are add-on parts:
We can all rejoice in this pivotal victory over tyranny. Let’s take a look at what we learned and figure out what to do next.

Vaccine-tyrants love wokeness
How are vaccine mandates and “show your papers” vaccine-passports aided and abetted by wokeness?
Wokeness takes root in people who have been trained to believe what they are told. This blind belief creates emotional triggers that can be set off simply by repeating certain phrases. It’s just like the “Two Minutes Hate” from George Orwell’s 1984.
Did you watch that clip? Here’s what Big Brother said (in case it was hard to hear clearly):
But even as we grasp at victory... there is a cancer, an evil tumor... growing, spreading in our midst.
Shout, shout... shout out his name!
Goldstein!
In 1984, Goldstein was the personification of those who boldly opposed The Party and encouraged others to question and resist it.
Now imagine replacing “Goldstein” with “unvaccinated” and we can see what vaccine-tyrants are trying to do.
Wokeness angrily invokes intolerance and hatred of those who hold “wrong” views, turning those who disagree into abstractions to revile. (Read this recent WSJ article by Peggy Noonan to go deep into this issue.)
Here’s a dangerous example of promoting hatred of those who hold “wrong” views from just a few weeks ago.
Pfizer’s CEO, Albert Bourla, recently claimed that people who are spreading “vaccine misinformation” are “criminals", costing “millions of lives”. He went on to warn that “The only thing that stands between the new way of life and the current way of life is, frankly, hesitancy to vaccinations.”
Think back to the 1984 Two Minutes Hate video: Shout out his name! Goldstein!
Wokeness is useful for vaccine-tyrants because the first thing they do is divide us into opposing identities of “vaccinated” and “unvaccinated” - just like both Biden and Bourla are doing. We are no longer Americans. We are “vaccinated” (good!) or “unvaccinated” (bad).
In “When The Culture War Comes for the Kids”, author George Packer pointed out that “in politics, identity is an appeal to authority—the moral authority of the oppressed: I am what I am, which explains my view and makes it the truth.”
Remember Biden’s “We’re going to protect vaccinated from their unvaccinated coworkers” press conference?
Biden and Bourla position the vaccinated as oppressed and put at risk by the unvaccinated. Just like in 1984, they invoke fear and rage to turn people against those who are thinking for themselves and making their own best health choices.
And just like with wokeness, they first go after the adults in the workplace, and then they go after our children in government run schools. So it is no surprise that there is such a big push to vaccinate children even though harm outweighed the benefits to 12-15 year olds in the Pfizer trial, and even though you are 2.5 times as likely to be struck by lightening than a child age 5-14 is to die from COVID.
According to the CDC’s own data, since the beginning of the COVID pandemic through November 13, 2021, a total of 256 children from ages 5-14 have died — out of a nation of 330 million.
Vaccinating children for COVID is not based upon science, nor is it based upon cost benefit analysis.
Evidence is mounting that the mass vaccination strategy for defeating COVID has failed.
Science starts with making observations and asking questions. Every one of us can be citizen scientists if we choose. Scientists test different approaches. If Biden, Bourla and the entire Public Health Regime were actually interested in science, they’d be studying how the Amish rapidly defeated COVID in a simple, straight-forward manner without lockdowns, masks, or vaccines.
It is not at all surprising that the community most resistant to modern technology was not afraid of COVID and took matters into their own hands to continue living as they choose.
We can do the same.
How To Fight Back, and Win
Just like parents across the political spectrum took control on November 2 to reset the course of Virginia and our nation, so we must continue asserting our rightful authority over our children’s education. When they learn to become excellent thinkers, we starve Wokeness and vaccine-tyrants of potential recruits.

First, and by far most important, we must take responsibility for our children’s ability to think by teaching them logic. Here is a great place to start: The Tuttle Twins Guide To Logical Fallacies. My son Connor, age 14, recently got this and loves it. He especially loves trying it out on me to point of my own logical fallacies!
Why logic first? Because our schools, under the influence of teacher’s unions and wokeness, are purposefully not teaching our kids to think. This leaves them vulnerable — for their entire lives — to being co-opted by dangerous mass movements such as wokeness or forced vaccination for everybody.
All active mass movements strive, therefore, to interpose a fact-proof screen between the faithful and the realities of the world… The facts on which the true believer bases his conclusions must not be derived from his experience or observations but from holy writ.

A dead giveaway of referencing “holy writ” is when you hear somebody proclaim “follow the science!”
Here’s another example that we often hear.
Just recently, the Pfizer CEO said: “In a pandemic, everyone is only as protected as their neighbors — their neighbors down the street, as well as their global neighbors around the world.” It is likely that 40-45% the US population accepts this as true. Probably 95% of doctors and 98% of the public health profession view it as ‘holy writ’.
The Pfizer CEO’s statement is purposefully misleading, designed to circumvent critical thinking. The words “protected” and “neighbor” are ambiguous to the point of being almost meaningless. The six page section on Ambiguity in the Logical Fallacies guide would be most helpful in analyzing Bourla’s deception:
Second, call our local, state and federal representatives and tell them that we’ve had enough of wokeness. As Noonan pointed out, this is especially important for moderate Democrats to hear.
Third, make sure that our kids read Dr. Martin Luther King. Go deep with them. There are few people in all of history who had anywhere near the brilliance, moral conviction, courageous compassion, and walk-the-talk integrity of Dr King. Anybody who reads Dr King will be well-prepared to resist wokeness, critical race theory, and vaccine-tyrants. Here are a few places to start:

What we’re reading
We just finished reading a Very Important update from Swiss Policy Research on obesity and the Covid pandemic. SPR is the source of Covid information and research that we have yet found.
a new study published in the International Journal of Obesity has found that in obese covid patients, the majority of antibodies are non-neutralizing (i.e. they don’t block infection) and even auto-immune (i.e. they attack the patient’s own tissue), leading to significantly higher levels of inflammatory markers in obese patients compared to lean patients.
